VIDEO: “Personal Belief” No Longer Allowed for Vaccination Opt-Out

A new state law, Senate Bill 277, went into effect this year. The state no longer allows personal belief exemptions (PBEs) to be used to opt out of school vaccine requirements for children. Moving forward, only medical exemptions will be allowed.

To find out which vaccinations are required for school in California, visit sdiz.org. The site also gives the specific vaccine requirements by age, and available low-cost or free clinics for those without insurance.
