The San Diego District Attorney’s Office had some four-legged and furry visitors recently. Every year, the DA’s office honors the “court dogs” and their handlers for their volunteer service. The court dogs are part of a program to help some of the most vulnerable victims feel more comfortable when they have to testify in court.

The Court Dog program was established in 2009. Last year, the dogs and their handlers volunteered more 500 hours helping 146 victims and witnesses.
