Almost Everything on Wheels up for Bid

Whether you see yourself commuting in a fuel-efficient Toyota Prius, a 2002 Nissan Xterra or expanding your business with the help of a 1-ton cargo van, the County’s public auction in Ramona Saturday may have exactly what you need.

Hundreds of vehicles, including automobiles and heavy equipment, and surplus government property from the County and other local agencies will be up for bid. Besides the Xterra, Prius and van, bidders can consider a variety of school buses, a Honda dirt bike, a PT Cruiser, 2006 Polaris Ranger, a W14 Case Loader (a type of earth-moving equipment), pickup trucks, a utility truck, auto repair equipment and various trailers. Pallets of concrete block, new guard rail wood posts, industrial items, tools, wood and metal office furniture, electronics, TVs and various household goods are also up for bid.

TNT Auction Company will run the event Saturday, July 14 at the Ramona Rodeo Grounds Fred Grand Arena, 421 Aqua Lane in Ramona. Thepublic and media are invited to preview auction items from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow, July 12 and Friday, July 13.  

Registration for the auctions begins 8 a.m., Saturday, July 14. The vehicle auction starts at 9 a.m. A second auction for the remaining items starts at 10:00 a.m. Proceeds from sales will go to the appropriate government agencies.
