This cutie patootie is looking for a lap that can hold 11 pounds!
If you have such a lap, please consider this sweet little boy, Emmett. He’s the most adorable, loving, 2-year-old, neutered Spaniel/Doxie blend you’ll ever meet.
Emmett came to County Animal Services as a stray with a condition called “Cherry Eye,” a common congenital defect, which can be very uncomfortable and cause permanent eye damage. This condition causes the gland of the third eyelid to become visible. Thanks to the department’s Spirit Fund, the condition has been repaired and Emmett is doing great!
Although a little shy, Emmett is very social once he’s comfortable with his surroundings. He’d love nothing better than to spend hours in your arms or lap! If you have a quiet household and are looking for a buddy, visit Emmett at the Animal Services shelter in Carlsbad. His adoption fee is just $69 and includes vaccinations, microchip, license and a free veterinary examination.
Please bring Emmett’s Animal Identification Number, A1474659, for reference. For more information on Emmett or any of his friends at the shelter, call (619)767-2675 or visit www.sddac.com.
