County officials received an in-depth look Tuesday at how organizations throughout the region are working in support of Live Well San Diego, the County’s vision of a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely and Thriving.

The Live Well San Diego Partners Report, which complements the County’s Annual Report, focuses on the efforts of the 150 recognized organizations that have signed on in support of Live Well San Diego, which was launched by the Board of Supervisors in 2010.

The County’s Live Well San Diego partners include cities and governments, school districts, community colleges, health care providers, community and faith-based organizations, businesses and media outlets. Enlisting partner organizations that share the County vision has been a priority.

The recognized partners include 24 school districts with more than 330,000 students and 10 cities with more than 2 million residents.

As part of the fifth annual update on Live Well San Diego, three organizations became recognized partners: Biocom, Legal Aid Society of San Diego and The San Diego Foundation.

In addition, KGTV ABC 10 News/Azteca San Diego 15 was recognized for its efforts to promote Live Well San Diego since becoming a partner in 2013, which include featuring monthly segments and public service announcements that focus on related topics, such as healthy lifestyles, safety and getting involved in the community.
