If you’re looking to escape the heat Tuesday, the County’s new Waterfront Park is an option for a little relief.
For Tuesday, May 13, the reflecting pond will have water during the park’s regular hours: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The fountain jets are scheduled to be on from 10 a.m to 8 p.m.
The fountain was designed to operate in four modes: reflecting pond only; jets only; pond and jets together; and completely empty.
The County Parks and Recreation Department’s Waterfront Park page will have updates on park operations.
The 12-acre park held its grand opening Saturday. It surrounds the County Administration Center at 1600 Pacific Highway downtown.
