Pet of the Week – Joey

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Joey is a shy 9-year-old black Bombay cat. If you’re not familiar with Bombay cats, these animals were bred to resemble small panthers. Joey may look like one but he certainly doesn’t act like one! Our Joey is a cuddler. He loves being petted and getting lots of attention. He’ll want to sit on your lap or right by your side. You could call him a Velcro kitty!

If you’d like to meet Joey, visit him at the County Animal Services’ animal care facility in Carlsbad. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is located at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad.

His animal ID number is A177819 and his adoption fee is only $35. The fee includes current vaccinations, viral testing, a microchip and registration, flea control plus a free veterinary exam within the first 10 days. For more information, visit sddac.com or call (619) 767-2675.
