Pet of the Week – Lola

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Meet Lola! She’s a young mama cat who’s already raised seven (seven!) kittens and now she’s ready to retire from motherhood and take a good, long rest in a forever home.

Lola is a blue tortie who is not even 2 years old yet. She came in as a stray with six young kittens. While at the shelter, she adopted a seventh orphaned kitten.

A foster home took in the whole kit and caboodle until the little ones were old enough to be adopted. This home had dogs but Lola got along well with them and would often nurse her kittens right next to one of her dog friends. Fast-forward to the present and her kittens have all been adopted. Now it’s Lola’s turn.

If you are interested in giving Lola the forever home she deserves, visit her at the County Animal Services’ animal care facility in Carlsbad. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is located at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad. Her animal ID number is A1777388 and her adoption fee is only $58. The price includes current vaccinations, viral testing, a microchip and registration, flea control plus a free veterinary exam within the first ten days.
