VIDEO: Planting for the Future

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Qualified inmates in County jails are spending their time in custody wisely and productively, thanks to a job training program that started a couple years ago.

Things like irrigation, landscaping and organic farming are taught to inmates with the intention of helping the low-level, non-violent offenders obtain jobs once they’re released.

Another benefit to this program? County parks are getting more native plants in them, thanks to the efforts of Seeds for Hope.
