Poll Workers Still Wanted For Several Neighborhoods

Poll workers are still in demand for the Nov. 6 Presidential General Election; especially those who are bilingual in Chinese, Filipino, Spanish and Vietnamese. The need is especially great in the neighborhoods listed below:

English Pacific Beach, Del Mar, Pomerado, University North (UTC, UCSD areas), University City
Chinese Del Dios, Encinitas, Rancho Peñasquitos, Mira Mesa, Poway
Filipino Del Dios, Oceanside, Chula Vista, Rancho Peñasquitos, Mira Mesa, Encanto, Paradise Hills, Spring Valley, El Cajon, Lakeside
Spanish Clairemont, Encanto, Paradise Hills, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, Ramona, Jamul, Campo, Potrero, El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee
Vietnamese Del Dios, Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista, Chula Vista, Rolando Redwood, City Heights, Nestor, San Ysidro, South Park, Clairemont, Linda Vista, Rancho Peñasquitos, Mira Mesa, Pomerado, Encanto, Lemon Grove, El Cajon, La Mesa

 

Poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $75 to $175 depending on the assignment and those who are bilingual receive an additional $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters.

Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the State of California and have transportation to their assigned polling location. Depending on the job assignment, they may also need access to the internet to complete an online training and attend a two-hour class.
