County Program Helps Qualifying First-Time Homebuyers

The County of San Diego’s Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program helps first-time home buyers whose income is 80 percent or less than the annual area median income, which ranges from $77,200 or less for a single adult, to $110,250 for a family of four and $145,550 for a family of eight.

County Breaks Ground on Three Affordable Housing Developments on Excess County Land in Clairemont

The County of San Diego’s Housing and Community Development Services (HCDS) joined Chelsea Development Corp. and other partners to break ground on the first three of four developments that will be situated on a property in Clairemont. The three developments will provide more than 300 affordable homes for low-income families, seniors and those with developmentally disabled relatives. The total number of new affordable apartment homes will on the site will total more than 400 with the completion of the fourth development.

Millions Available to Support Housing Projects in San Diego County

Continuing its efforts to expand the supply of affordable housing, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors has made $25 million available for affordable housing developments. In addition to these funds, Project Based Housing Choice vouchers and Project Based Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing vouchers are also available.
