Happily ever after began on Valentine’s Day for some lucky-in-love couples. More than 200 couples were scheduled to say their “I dos” or pick up wedding licenses at the County’s Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk’s four offices on Tuesday.
The County’s Waterfront Park downtown is a prime vantage point for what is billed as the largest balloon parade in America, so if you’re planning on making it your base, here are some things to know.
The County’s Waterfront Park has been reserved for a music festival taking place Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday, Oct. 2. The entire park, including the playground, will be closed to the public for those two days.
Long before the County Administration Center opened its doors to the public or boasted the Waterfront Park, a landscape architect envisioned it as part of something much larger. And it had nothing to do with a bayfront view.
The fountains at the Waterfront Park will be shut off from Tuesday, Sept. 13 through Monday, Sept. 19 for maintenance.
