New Budget Goes Before County Supervisors

The first of two virtual public hearings on the County’s budget took place at the Board of Supervisors meeting Monday.  

The County transformed its new budget to meet rising demands amidst COVID-19, the economic crisis and worldwide calls for social justice and racial equality.

The Registrar of Voters is sending postcards to over 1.8 million registered voters in San Diego County this week telling them to expect a mail ballot for the November 3, 2020 Presidential General Election.

Two COVID-19 Triggers Improving; Community Outbreaks Continue to Increase

Since early July, the County has been on the state’s Monitoring List because of a case rate above 100 cases per 100,000 population, causing additional restrictions on some local businesses. A second County trigger resulted in the hiring of more case investigators and a third, related to outbreaks, continues to be elevated.
