For 14 years, a vibrant mural on an exterior wall of the Tubman Chavez Community Center has offered a beautiful narrative about the residents in this community: their history, their diversity and their hopes for the future. Soon, this beloved art piece will come down as the residents welcome the new Southeastern Live Well Center. For the artist behind the mural, his contribution to this historic building and the community has been an honor.
