Health Officials Investigating Outbreak Linked to Raw Milk

County of San Diego health officials have linked nine cases of Salmonella illness to unpasteurized or “raw” milk or milk products from a producer in Fresno, CA. The cases began in late September and the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) urges anyone who may have recently purchased Raw Farm LLC raw milk or milk products to not consume it and discard the product.

Pop-up Resource Fair For Unsheltered Harbor Area Neighbors

Thursday morning the County of San Diego and partners set up a pop-up fair for unsheltered neighbors in downtown’s Harbor View neighborhood. Services available included providing EBT cards to qualified people so they can buy food and necessities. People also could see if they were eligible for CalWorks or Medi-Cal, and check in for case management.

Active TB Cases Reported on Certain Trolley and Bus Lines

The Tuberculosis Program in County Public Health Services (PHS), in collaboration with Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), is working to notify riders who used certain Trolley Blue and Green lines between February 16, 2023 and August 15, 2023, and bus riders and drivers who used Route 901 between April 22, 2023 and July 15, 2023, that they were potentially exposed and are at risk for tuberculosis (TB) infection.
