County’s Office of Military and Veterans Affairs Gears up for Stand Down

The County’s Office of Military and Veterans Affairs (OMVA) is one of many County departments gearing up for the region’s largest annual event for unhoused veterans, the Veteran’s Village of San Diego’s Stand Down. The event is scheduled August 9 to 11. It will include an array of resources, and County services, for unhoused veterans.

TB Exposure Reported at Mount Miguel High School (MMHS)

The County’s Tuberculosis Control Program is working in close collaboration with Grossmont Union High School District to notify students, staff and volunteers potentially exposed to tuberculosis (TB) during the second semester of the 2023-24 school year at Mount Miguel High School.

County Awarded $12.4 million to Establish New Recuperative Beds

County Behavioral Health Services has been awarded $12.4 million in state funding for bridge housing. The funds will be used to create 49 new recuperative care beds for people who are experiencing homelessness and have a behavioral health condition.
