Ceremonial Swearing-in Date Set for Newly Elected County Officials

Six newly elected officials will be sworn into office at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9 at the County Administration Center Board Chamber. The ceremony will be held in person and streamed virtually.

The ceremonial swearing-in is for Fourth District Supervisor Nathan Fletcher, Fifth District Supervisor Jim Desmond, Sheriff Kelly A. Martinez, District Attorney Summer Stephan, Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Jordan Marks and Treasurer/Tax Collector Dan McAllister.

The terms of office formally began on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at 12 noon. Each official was administered the oath of office prior to the start of their respective terms. The swearing-in ceremony will be an opportunity to publicly state the oath of office and deliver brief remarks.

Due to limited seating, the public will be able to watch the ceremony in Room 302 across from the Chamber and in the observation balcony on the fourth floor. Seating in the Chamber will be limited to invited guests.
