
People living in the unincorporated areas of Borrego Springs and Julian can get free sandbag materials to help protect their homes, neighborhoods and streets from possible flooding, erosion and mud flows from continuing heavy rainfall and future rains as summer turns to fall.
The San Diego County Department of Public Works (DPW) is providing sandbag material at two locations, starting today:
The department is urging residents to continue to monitor their local news for weather updates and emergency information. Heavy rains can trigger mud flows and flooding without warning that can damage homes, roads and properties.
