Important Deadlines Near for June 5 Election

You only have one more week to register to vote in the June 5 Presidential Primary Election. If you’re not sure whether you’re registered, check it online at the Registrar of Voters’ site, sdvote.com

“If you’ve moved recently, changed your name or your party preference you’ll need to fill out a new registration form,” said Deborah Seiler, Registrar of Voters. “If you go online, the process is quick, easy and convenient.”  The online form is provided in English, Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese.

If you are a registered nonpartisan voter, you will not see any presidential candidates listed on your ballot. Nonpartisan voters who would like to vote for a presidential candidate have two options. They may request a Democratic or American Independent ballot or they can update their registration to change their party preference.
