These are just some of the daily reminders the young residents at the County’s A.B. and Jessie Polinsky Children’s Center are seeing when they open their paper snack sacks at school.
Including daily notes from the kitchen team started last year has brought the team words of thanks from the young snackers.
“It’s reminder to let them know that they are a super star,” said Polinsky Children’s Center Chef Freddy Recinos. “I know they’re going through a lot, so we want to make them feel like they are special, they are awesome, show them you’re not alone, and we’re here to make you feel happy.”
The reminders are a small but meaningful way bellies and hearts are being filled at Polinsky Children’s Center.
