Demi is finally getting a chance to come into her own. This 2-year-old retriever blend came into the shelter from a property that had over 20 dogs and puppies that lived outside. All of the dogs were nervous around new people. But what a difference a foster home makes!
Demi is a puppy-like, high-energy dog. She gets along with her foster dog sister and isn’t possessive. She does like to hide her stuffed toys around the yard and house. One time she even squirreled away a cellphone in her crate.
Demi still gets a little nervous around new people, especially men. But once she gets to know someone, she’s very affectionate.
If you’d like to meet our Demi, stop by the County’s animal care facility in Carlsbad. The location is 2481 Palomar Airport Road. Ask for her by her animal ID number, A1782668.
