Poll Workers Needed in Several Neighborhoods

Registrar Seeking Help for Nov. 19 Special Municipal Election

The Registrar of Voters Office is looking for poll workers for the Nov. 19, 2013 City of San Diego Special Municipal Election, especially those who can speak both English and either Chinese, Filipino, Spanish or Vietnamese. The following language proficiencies are especially needed in these neighborhoods:

Poll workers will receive a stipend of $75-$175 depending on the assignment. Bilingual poll workers will receive an additional $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters.

Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the state of California and have their own transportation to and from assigned polling locations. Depending on the job assignment, workers may also need Internet access to complete an online training and attend a two-hour class.
