Community members are invited to join local organizations this Saturday, April 25, for the NAMIWalks San Diego, a free annual event supporting mental health awareness and wellness.

Hosted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness in partnership with County Behavioral Health Services, the event kicks off Mental Health Matters Month, observed every May.

Nadia Privara Brahms, director of County Behavioral Health Services, said the walk highlights the community’s share commitment to mental wellness.

“By learning practical tools for coping, staying connected and knowing what resources are available, we can strengthen support for ourselves and for those around us who may be struggling.”
