Contact tracing is part of a 3-tiered strategy the County is using to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. It requires outreach, usually a phone call, to those who have been in close contact with a COVID-positive patient. This early notification of exposure can significantly cut down on the spread of the virus and keep San Diegans healthy.
