Virtual Town Hall on State Auditor’s Report on Sheriff’s Department

The Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board will host a virtual town hall March 22 on a report recently published by the California State Auditor on the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and deaths of individuals in its custody, and CLERB practices.

The Acting California State Auditor will present an overview of the auditor’s report and answer questions regarding its findings, and the public can provide comments.

The auditor published the report last month, and made several recommendations to the Sheriff’s Department, CLERB, the Board of State and Community Corrections, and the legislature. Responses to the recommendations are contained within the report.

The public is invited to participate in the virtual town hall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22. Town hall link. No registration is required.
