“Fires don’t respect the legal boundaries, the city boundaries or the County boundaries, so it’s imperative that we all work together.”
A new City-County partnership was established Wednesday out in San Pasqual Valley, where a County Fire Authority station sits. The city of San Diego added a brush fire engine and four fire fighters to the station, which is in the city limits.
The area is a particularly difficult area to provide emergency services to as the area is widespread and residents live in remote areas. The new partnership comes just in time for peak fire season, where the San Pasqual Valley is prone to brush fires.
