The County Animal Services Pet Health Express had tails wagging and saved pet owners money in Valley Center this week.

The Pet Health Express pulled up at a community event Tuesday outside the Valley Center Library and provided free necessary vaccinations and microchips for more than 100 pets, split about evenly between dogs and cats. Animal Services staff served 71 families, said Manuel Balcazar, Animal Medical Operations manager.

In addition to special opportunities like free vaccination and microchips mobile service, County Animal Services supports communities by providing services such as low-cost microchip and rabies vaccination clinics at County animal shelters every day with no appointment necessary.
