County Hears Report Card on Children, Families

The 2015 San Diego County Report Card on Children and Families was released today, tracking the progress on 25 key indicators of children’s well-being in the region.

The report is designed to educate the public and elected officials about current issues and trends relating to the health and well-being of children and youth. It has data on measures of health, education, economic security and safety. Initiative representatives presented the report to the County supervisors during the board’s Tuesday meeting.

The County’s Health and Human Services Agency produced the report card until 2007 when it moved to the Children’s Initiative. The Initiative works to ensure that San Diego’s children and families reach their full potential by promoting services, programs and policies that support their health and well-being.

The report card is accessible online.
