Couples Exchange Vows at Valentine’s Day Weddings

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Love is in the air this weekend. Nearly 200 couples said “I do” at the County Administration Building on Valentine’s Day.

With Feb. 14 falling on Saturday this year, the Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk arranged for its downtown location to be open to meet the demand. The office had received 187 reservations for couples to apply for marriange licenses, with many of the lovebirds exchanging vows at the picturesque Waterfront Park.

While reservations for Valentine’s Day filled quickly, you can use this three-day weekend to plan your own special day. Call (619) 237-0502 to make a marriage license or wedding ceremony appointment.
