This most numerically aligned of days—11-12-13–meant many things to the couples who chose it to get married at the County Administration Center downtown.
As of late last week, every ceremony slot was booked, and most marriage license appointments were taken too, according to an official with the San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk. The office took couples on a walk-in basis.
Groom Cameron Haverd said his family had a history of choosing unusual dates. His mother had married on 7-7-77 at 7 p.m. He and his bride, Laura, said getting married on this date was a way to tie the knot on “their own terms and have fun.” Their ceremony was scheduled for 14:00 hours, she said.
