May 16, 2023 Community Budget Meeting
Reading Time: < 1 minute

Take advantage of the last community budget meeting for the County’s new recommended budget. You can find out how the budget affects you and give your input.

The meeting will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 and will be virtual only. You can register at Engage San Diego County.

The budget plan shows how it will maintain, improve and create new services for the county as a whole, and for the unincorporated areas where County government provides city-like services.

During the meeting, the managers of the four departmental groups that run the County will give details about their budget plans for the new fiscal year that starts July 1.

After the budget presentations, you can take part in a question-and-answer session with the County’s finance experts.

To learn more about the recommended budget, you can find an executive summary on the County’s budget portal.

If you miss both community meetings, you can still submit eComments on the budget plan now through June 21 on our community engagement budget page at Engage San Diego County.

You can also watch, listen and participate in budget hearings, deliberations and adoption at upcoming Board of Supervisors meetings.

Public hearings are 9 a.m. on June 12 and 5:30 p.m. on June 15. Budget deliberations and adoption are scheduled for June 27.
