Landlord and Veteran Create a Perfect Partnership

San Diego is home to more than 200,000 veterans. Hundreds of those veterans are living on the street with limited prospects for secured permanent housing. In 2023, the County and a dozen regional partners, launched a plan to put an end to veteran homelessness. Landlords who have homes available to rent to veterans are needed. The process is easy and offers incentives.

Landlords Bruce and Arcelia Ong were surprised at how quick and easy it was to rent to a veteran. Better still, that veteran was also a longtime friend.
