Melanie Bryant is one of hundreds of people who have found a stable place to live thanks to Project One for All, the County of San Diego’s extensive effort to house and provide needed services to homeless people with serious mental illness.
About 1,200 other people—more than 700 of them County employees—walked the streets, beaches and valleys across the region for the annual count of homeless people in San Diego County.
County officials have announced that Omar Passons, an experienced health care policy and land use attorney, is joining the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency.
The County Board of Supervisors voted today to allow the Health and Human Services Agency to apply for state emergency funds to address homelessness in the region.
