Let the Voting Begin!

Vote by mail ballots will start appearing in mailboxes around San Diego County this week.

The Registrar of Voters sent out more than 720,000 ballots Monday for the presidential primary election set for Tuesday, June 5. For the first time, ballots went out in Chinese.

The Registrar now provides ballots in five languages. For the mail-in ballots, 10,331 went out in Spanish, 2,124 in Vietnamese, 1,013 in Filipino and 21 in Chinese.

The deadline to request a mail ballot is May 29 by 5 p.m.
