Love Conquers All

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Most brides wore white dresses, but others went with yellow or black.

Some brought big wedding parties, while others arrived with just a few witnesses.

Each bride and groom married at the County today—Valentine’s Day–put their own personal touch on the occasion. But love was clearly the common denominator.

Valentine’s Day was again shaping up to be one of the busiest days of the year for wedding ceremonies and marriages licenses at the County. By this morning, couples had booked nearly all of the available ceremony and license slots.

Walk-in ceremonies are available at the County Administration Center up until 5 p.m. today. The CAC is located at 1600 Pacific Highway in downtown San Diego. Ceremonies and licenses are also available at the County Clerk’s El Cajon (200 S. Magnolia Ave.), San Marcos (141 E. Carmel St.) and Chula Vista (590 Third Ave.) offices, though not on a walk-in basis.

With temperatures warm and the skies clear and sunny, the CAC’s scenic outdoor site overlooking San Diego Bay was humming with activity. Families and friends also gathered in a new waiting room on the CAC’s second floor. Inside, brides were getting ready in two new changing rooms.

More information is available on the County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk’s website.  Also, County Parks offer many great locations to hold weddings. Learn more
