Farmworkers can find it challenging to get to a COVID-19 vaccination clinic because they work in rural, remote locations. But thanks to the efforts of emergency responders, the initiative Operation Collaboration has vaccinated over 2,000 farmworkers since April 9, with plans for even greater outreach over the next two months. The operation uses the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which simplifies scheduling for those working in the county’s fifth-largest industry.
