Tax Relief Available for Shockey Fire Property Losses

County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk Ernest Dronenburg wishes to advise all property owners whose property was damaged or destroyed during the recent Shockey Fire that property tax relief is available. This tax relief program requires the reassessment of the property to reflect its damaged condition. The reduced value will remain in effect until such time as the property is rebuilt or repaired.

Ramona Airport Open House Attracts Vets and Visitors

An estimated 2,000 people attended the annual Ramona Airport Open House this past weekend. They were treated to tours of the air traffic control tower (ATC), U.S. Forest Service and Calfire operations, and the Classic Rotors helicopter museum. Several classic war birds, to include the famous P-51 Mustang were on display and seen in low-pass “fly-bys.”
