Pet of the Week – Freya

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Freya is the name of a goddess in Norse mythology and it means lady. Our Freya is a 5-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier mix who has lived up to her name. She came to County Animal Services as a stray on Aug. 31. During the four months in our care, she’s made many friends with her gentle and calm demeanor.

The white and brown brindle, or tiger-striped, dog is social, and she really enjoys chasing and playing with tennis balls.

If you’d like to meet Freya, visit her at County Animal Services’ animal care facility in Carlsbad. The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is located at 2481 Palomar Airport Road.

Her adoption fee is only $35 and that includes current vaccinations, a microchip with registration, flea control plus a free veterinary exam within the first 10 days. Ask for her by her animal ID number A1737211.
