Pet of the Week – Maya

Maya is not only a beautiful 3-year-old pit bull/Labrador retriever mix, she is also a cancer survivor. She’s undergone chemotherapy for a cancerous tumor, and there are no signs of reoccurrence. Yay Maya!

She is a very social and fun-loving dog. She Maya flowerswalks well on a leash, likes to play tug-of-war with her toys, and she seems to get along best with male dogs.

You can visit Maya at the County’s animal care facility on 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad. Ask for her by her animal ID number, A1778515.

And because she has been at the shelter for over 30 days, her adoption fee is $35. She’s already been spayed so the fee includes all her current vaccinations, a microchip and a free veterinary exam within the first 10 days of adoption.
