Pet of the Week – Opie

Your home might not be Mayberry, but it may very well be the perfect place for young Opie.

Opie is a 2-year-old neutered male Pointer and Boxer mix. His previous owners say he loved going to the dog beach and got along well with other resident dogs. He has been adopted but returned for what seems to be signs of separation anxiety, so he needs a special home where someone in his family is always home with him.

Come meet Opie (A1714108) at the County’s animal care facility at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and see if your family is a good fit for him. His adoption fee is $69, which includes microchip, current vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment, registration and and a free veterinary exam.
