Pet of the Week – Devas

Get an eyeful of those ears!

Devas is a neutered six-month-old Oriental Shorthair who you can see is all ears for anything you have to say to him. And he’ll probably talk right back!

Oriental Shorthairs are members of the Siamese family and they can be quite vocal. These purebred cats are intelligent, social animals that bond very closely with their owners. They’re often inquisitive, friendly, emotional and demanding. When they’re happy, their purr can be extremely loud. Devas lives up to all of that!

This little guy came in as a stray, so where did his name come from? Try spelling Devas backward. If you’d like to strike up a conversation with Devas, come visit him at the shelter in Carlsbad at 2481 Palomar Airport Road. Refer to him with his ID number A1494465. If you just can’t stop chattering, take him home for just $58 and that includes vaccinations, a microchip, license and a free veterinary examination. For more information, call (619) 767-2675 or visit
