Pet of the Week – Smiley

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Smiley here is having a tough time living up to her name.

She’s a 2 year old spayed female pointer blend and out of all the dogs at the Carlsbad shelter, she’s been waiting the longest for a forever home.

Smiley arrived the beginning of June incredibly underweight (only 44 pounds!) after her owner had to relinquish her. Smiley is crate trained, knows how to use a doggie door, knows some basic commands like ‘sit’ and gets along with other dogs. But no cats, please!

If you could consider helping this now svelte 60 pound lady turn her frown upside down this holiday, she—and we!—would be forever grateful!

Her adoption fee is $35 and includes vaccinations, microchip and a free veterinary examination. You can meet Smiley at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad. Her animal identification number is A1591541. For more information, visit sddac.com or call (619)767-2675.
