Public’s Help Needed to Identify Tattooed Accident Victim

San Diego County Medical Examiner’s investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a man fatally hit by a car while crossing the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 north of the Old Town Avenue overcrossing about 8 p.m. October 14.

Law enforcement officers and rescuers were unable to save him.

The unidentified Hispanic or Middle Eastern man is 30-40 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds., and has brown eyes, and short black hair. He did not have identification with him at the time of the incident and investigators are unable to identify him with fingerprints.

A forensic artist has created a possible sketch of the man and two of his unique tattoos, one says Margarita in cursive and the i is dotted with a heart. The other is a crown over two script letters, the second is an R.
