Back-to-school buys aren’t just for the kids. Get yourself a steal on wheels for all of those impending carpools.
The County’s latest public vehicle auction begins Monday, Aug. 15 and you can see what’s available in person or online.
Hundreds of surplus vehicles, including automobiles and heavy equipment, and surplus government property from the County and other local agencies are going on the auction block. Many bids start at $100.
Among the vehicles perfect for hauling kids back and forth: 2009 Toyota Prius Hybrid sedans, a 2008 Nissan Quest minivan, 2008 Chevy Uplander minivan and 2006 and 2007 Ford Escapes.
And if your family is really big, there’s always a school bus to bid on!
If you’d like to check out the vehicles in person, kick the tires so to speak, they’ll go on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at 369 Main Street, Ramona, CA, 92065.
You can register to bid for the auction online. Bidding begins Monday, Aug. 15 at 8 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m. the following Monday, Aug. 22.
