County Secures $99.5 million for Behavioral Health Wellness Campus

San Diego County Behavioral Health Services (BHS) received a $99.5 million state grant to help build a new s Behavioral Health Wellness Campus on Rosecrans Street. The award is the largest granted in the second round of California’s Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) funding made possible through from Proposition 1.

Over two dozen women experiencing homelessness downtown have a new option for a warm, safe place to sleep. A homeless shelter at the old Central Library on E Street is now open and has 36 beds available overnight to women exclusively.
