VIDEO: County Keeps Public Pools Clean and Safe

Summer is here and that means it’s time to go swimming. The County’s Department of Environmental Health is out and about year-round inspecting public swimming pool locations to make sure they are safe in order to protect the public from getting sick and to prevent drownings. That’s over 7,300 bodies of water, such as pools, spas, and splash pads, in apartments, hotels, parks and other public spaces.

Board of Supervisors Approve Beach Water Testing Funding

San Diego County’s Board of Supervisors voted Wednesday to authorize the County’s Department of Environmental Health to carry out an agreement with the state for $348,000 to help fund the County’s beach water quality program that protects residents and visitors year-round.
