More than 750,000 people have learned hands-only CPR as part of the Revive & Survive San Diego Initiative launched in January 2024. The initiative is closer to its goal of training one million people to do hands-only CPR.

A group of Emergency Medical Services Corp students helped teach people hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation, with supervision by CAL FIRE/County Fire firefighters and paramedics, this week as part of a Revive and Survive free public training event in Kearny Mesa.
