Lots of Hippity-hopping at County Parks

March 13, 2013 | 11:33am

It’s time to dig out those egg baskets and get ready to roll. Over the next three weekends, County Parks is offering egg hunts throughout the region.

Different sites feature different egg-citing events so check them all out to see which one is best for you and your little ones.

The Spring Bunny himself might be cooling his heels at some parks while others are offering arts and crafts, games, face painting and even pancake breakfasts. If you visit San Elijo Lagoon, children can get a close-up look at the critters that hatch from eggs like reptiles, birds and insects.

“County parks are the perfect places for families to gather year round but especially when spring is in the air,” said County Parks and Recreation Director Brian Albright. “These egg hunts are the perfect excuse to get outdoors with your family and rediscover the beauty of nature.”
