A new affordable housing community downtown is changing lives and offering hope to people experiencing homelessness. Father Joe’s Villages St. Teresa of Calcutta Villa opened in February with a $14 million County investment and a 20-year commitment to provide behavioral health services. The high-rise building has 400 apartments dedicated to our most vulnerable populations in need of a permanent home. For new residents like Marquita Tillman, this is a dream she’d almost given up on.
