Reading Time: < 1 minute

The County Department of Animal Services is doing its part to help dogs evacuated from Louisiana, which is being threatened by Hurricane Delta.

A cargo plane filled with crates of almost 100 dogs arrived at Gillespie Field Thursday. Shelters in Louisiana are creating space for animals they expect to arrive if the region is impacted by the hurricane.

The County was joined by the San Diego Humane Society, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility and Labradors and Friends in helping the dogs during this emergency.
